The Historic Triangle

Yorktown, Williamsburg, Jamestown - Virginia

This place is absolutely amazing. Not only is the historic triangle ascetically pleasing to the eye, the history of this little gem could be pondered upon for weeks!

The pictures in this blog go; Yorktown, Williamsburg, Jamestown. ENJOY.

Welcome to the Yorktown blog entry

The history is one thing; the beach is another; although it is DEAD FLAT is was a very pleasurable way to spend some time relaxing.. It did however, remind me of how long it has been since I have had a decent surf.

Being sent pictures like these hurts; Mangawhai PUMPPPPPPPING!

But anyway.....

You have got to love the MPS - 7.5knots in 4-7knots of wind.

let myself out on a rope to take the pictures but when I tried to pull myself in, the bow of the  rib wanted to dive underwater! Rob saved the day.

The battle field where the revolutionary war came to a halt - right here in Yorktown

There are more cannons here than you can poke a stick at!

A cannon from 1726! This "small" one can shot a 20pound cannon ball 1mile

Our spot on a mooring ball - it's looking calm today, skurf this afternoon it is!

G.Washington Monument

As I have said before; If was was to upload pictures of all the amazing homes
we have seen, I would be up to about blog 50!!

Some one made this in there drive way and then; as always; there wife got pi**ed off and told them to get rid of it. They donated it to the Yorktown Water-men Museum.

On the bus to Williamsburg;

Have you ever fallen asleep on a bus and woken up in the 1700's? We have....

Colonial Parkway was insane (the roadway that connects the historic triangle). It was flat and absorbingly covered in dense bush. It felt like home. We all liked it!
