Hampton, Virginia

09.06.2012

Sunset as we arrived in Chesapeake bay

We arrived in Hampton, Virginia safe and sound after 48 hours. It is very HOT and humid. 89 degrees I hear people yelling.

This is a model of Hampton (Not to scale)

Mum / Dad, if you are reading this; I tried to call several times but I wasn't even getting a dial tone.

A picture of some of the harbor

Does that say MANUREWA?!

Surrounded by pirates!

Another very historic town, another bunch of super friendly locals, another top up of stoke.

We hung out for the day, got totally roasted by the 90degree  heat, explored the city, went to a "block party" (a city block is closed each Saturday all in the name of partying!) and I ate the ultimate hot dog. On the morning of the 10th we upped anchor, waved good bye to the congregation of shipwrecked pirates and headed north for Yorktown.

The locals warned us of hurricanes; we thought they were joking. This guy lost his mast 6 days prior to our arrival. His boat was flung at speed into a concrete dock.

This guy has the idea!

.......

Waiting for the green man

Lame!

Another stunner of a day, up went the MPS and we arrived 8hours later.
